Night Moods

I wanted the perfect cactus silhouette–as I searched the park I discovered that this was only possible at sunrise or sunset-to see what the actual composition would look like, as throughout the day the composition was completely different. These desert monoliths have such a powerful presence and I waited for the right light to shoot. The sky mood set the scene as clouds circled overhead and gods rays of light on the horizon gave this image what I wanted.
